Hi everyone, I received a bunch of coins from my mother in law. Mostly canadian (including old provincial coins), and United Kingdom. But It also contain, Irish, Spanish, French, USA. Most of the dates are around 1850. I have 2 coin that I'm unable to identify.
#1 Lady sitting with torch or flower. Unable to read the left inscription (Brit? Maybe). On the other face their is « georium?....... VIS ».
#2 damaged coin with 2 bust, bases or the bust are still sharp. The front person does not seems to have crown, long hair, or veil. The back when playing with light look to have a crest (almost like a police badge). Also would love to know the kind of metal, the color is not the same than all the others.
your help would be appreciated. thank you.

I think that your first coin may be a George III 1774 halfpenny and the second a much abused 1927 Canada Confederation medal.

The first is a Canadian Blacksmith halfpenny token.
One of the most common but was struck lacking detail to begin with. These circulated along with many other non regal coppers after 1820. This one is referred to as Bitit Token BL-37
