I've got a few silver certificate notes in.. usually modest condition. Typically dated 1957 and well worn, they aren't worth much more than face but still fun to collect, especially were during my youth. This on the other hand is a different story, and kind of astonishing given the circumstances. A bank teller, well aware of my numismatic endeavors, set aside this crisp 1935 E silver certificate star note for me once, and to date it's the finest piece of my whole personal collection. Not sure how much more of a premium they command, if any, but that teller was extremely kind because, needless to say, it's a fantastic note. I've never felt so lucky visiting the bank before, sometimes it really pays to make friends with the tellers :)

This is a comparatively common star note, even in mid-uncirculated grades. In TPG 65PQ holders they are commonly available for less than $100. So a nice find for sure, but don't quit your day job.

Branda - Despite its archaic 1935 series date, this would have been printed during the Priest/Anderson era of 1957-1961.

Oh yeah of course, I'm not saying it's automatically gonna be worth a fortune based on the date, just thought it was a really neat novelty piece is all. If I'm being honest, I'm glad we've moved on from lettering the dates all the way up to G or H. The 35s and 63s are notorious for that and it's so annoying since the note could be around 30 years younger, like you said.
