westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7621 Posts	Posted 04/07/2019 1:24 pm The backside has been exposed directly to a plastic or enclosure that contains a large amount of PVC. You should be able to remove it by soaking the coin in acetone. Hopefully the green has not attacked the metal....yet! Report this Post to the Staff

westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7621 Posts	Posted 04/07/2019 3:16 pm Yes...some of those old albums have plastic pages that are loaded with PVC. Check some of the other coins closely for signs of residue. Smell the pages. Does it smell "plastic" or kinda funny? Do the pages feel oily?
