Does anyone know the value of this coin? I believe 3 of these have been found but I've never seen what they are worth.

35$ if graded AU55? I can't really find any information on this. PCGS price guide and even my Red Book say very little. Searching it also says very little. Maybe provide pictures?

There is one listed on CC's site, but those values seem way too high. John1

$35 for an AU55?
At that grade for this coin I am a buyer all day long. But the day will not last long since there are only 5 ( 4 PCGS and 1 NGC)
Don't know the real value till one comes up for auction.

I'm with LOM about jumping all over one at that $.(A dozen please!)
I'm wondering if someone is sitting on a hoard of these since the images on VV seem to show enough die polishing of the tops of the letters to reduce the height and make them look "skinny" nearest the rim. That indicates an older die, which should have produced quite a few examples.

Quote: That indicates an older die, which should have produced quite a few examples. Maybe a few but not to many. From coppercoins.com: Quote: 1982P-1DR-001 | CLASS 4 CONECA: DDR#001 Crawford: unknown Wexler: unknown FS#: unknown Small date zinc cent. Very strong doubling shows on all reverse devices. Some of the outer edges of the design show little or no doubling due to the conical shape of the die at the time of hubbing. As of December 2012, there have been only four examples reported that we know of. Values may change as more examples are reported and/or pieces sell. ADDITIONAL NOTE: A coin supplied by die variety expert Billy Crawford shows that the obverse die for this coin has been paired with a different reverse die. This may explain the rarity of this doubled die as it may have been caught early in the production run and the reverse die subsequently replaced. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...pe=dr&page=0

Good point Coop. The specific 1982 small date zinc variety was not stated. Wexler's website list WDDR-001 and WDDR-002. Well, like everyone else said...
