1806 And 1809 Half Cent Rotated Dies - 90 Degrees In Opp. Directions

tropicalbats Pillar of the Community United States 6116 Posts	Posted 04/12/2019 5:34 pm Picked up some Half Cents today and while looking them over saw that each of these coins was rotated 90 degrees. Nothing too spectacular as I understand that's not super uncommon on Half Cents but just thought it neat that the obverses face opposite directions and when you flip them over each is rotated 90 degrees in the opposite direction. I collect some of them and would seem reasonable to add these to that collection since I already have them in hand. I don't understand what is going on with the thread Spence posted. I rarely stray from the modern E and V discussion board and don't follow what is going on here. Posting coins from each year one year at a time? Report this Post to the Staff
