The incuse letters on the ATB Quarters are showing more MD on them than normal quarters. 70% are affected in a test I conducted a while back. Sometimes they we very minor MD examples. Few were the extreme examples. But not a doubled die. The doubled dies are found in the central areas of the design. (Not on the outer areas of the design)

That is Machine Doubling. About 70% of these quarters have minor to strong MD on them. The DDRs are found in the center of the design area. The devices on the outer area on the reverses are incuse, sunk into the coin. So when MD happens, because the devices are raised on the die, it makes a doubled look on these devices. So the machine causes the doubling, but the doubling is not on the die. Thus it is not a doubled die.

So I'm new to this. So I can put this in a Gumball Machine or No? Lol. Is it gonna be worth anything later down the line. I see others without the line?

Bummer Cymic03, the line is damage from a vending/wrapping machine. I would probably still tuck it away for awhile

I know I'm a newbie and think I found something every time but I do believe it's a gold plated 2015 D Saratoga quarter with fingers DD. As usual I'm asking for help. Posting pics asap

That doesn't sound implausible.

Nope, sorry. The answer is unfortunately the same as Coop's. It's Incused Machine Doubling.
