Does anyone know what this token was for? Or a possible value? Thanks!

The purpose: I think it is obvious that it was issued after the death of George VI to commemorate his reign.

People issued royal medals at the drop of a hat, although I admit I have never seen this particular one. Issuing medals for the start of a reign or of an anniversary were more popular.

I seen the Franklin Mint logo at the lower left, so this was a relatively modern issue.

Value: probably very little especially since it is not silver and is a single out of what was likely a set. Also, it looks like there are spots on it.

Franklin Mint fans could probably supply more information.

I've never seen a brass piece. My dad had the Kings & Queens of England

set, although in silver. This Geo. VI is part of the set.

Interesting. That ebay link says the silver medal is 1.3 troy ounces so it's got to be a lot larger than mine. Mine is only 1.2 grams and 13mm. I'm not sure that it's brass, I think that might just be the lighting in my photo that gives it the brass color. It looks more gray almost non metal looking. the other difference with my medal is on the reverse instead of having the "WS" at the bottom left there is "C" in a circle, like a copyright symbol, next to the "F" from the Franklin Mint.
