1970 P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Doubled Die Obverse / DDO But No Match To Be Found.

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 04/23/2019 06:23 am This 1970 P LMC is most definitely a DDO but nothing matches. The closest one to match it to is the 1970 P WDDO-002. The big difference between the two is on the WDDO-002 there is an extra bar above the 7 as well as the bar below the letter L in LIBERTY. This cent has a very strong bar under the L in LIBERTY and that is the only doubling to be found. My first thought is it may be a different stage from the 002 but with the strength of the extra bar and lack of an extra bar over the seven it leads me to think that this one is a new listing. One other factor may play in this being a new listing, the placement of the extra bar under the L is not in the same area as the 002. There are no die markers that match with any of the 1970 P DDO's.
