Nickelcollectr85 Valued Member United States 98 Posts	Posted 05/20/2019 7:51 pm Haven't seen to many of the odd years up for sale I've been pretty lucky coin shopping in dump bins of coins to find mine... several thousand have been dug through haha.. hardest part is learning what to look for other than the looped R.. this website has helped a lot and knowable people such as the great Pyrbob many hours of reading the same threads over and over.. back on topic the odd years probably would sell for anywhere from $200-$350 guessing on the demand Report this Post to the Staff

Nickelcollectr85 Valued Member United States 98 Posts	Posted 08/12/2020 6:15 pm Very nice find I personally found my 39 looped R and a 44 ...the Q and A video was a good viewing and enjoyed the info.. I personally purchased my 1947 with all the info I've read and came up with it is the 3rd rarest year .. I've seen 3 of these sell and all have went for between 250-550. I see it getting bigger with all the research and advertising they are getting in the coin community. I actually have a 1947 henning without the looped R can't remember if I posted photos in the past or not but I did just get a great scope for magnifying images that goes to my phone Report this Post to the Staff

Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5780 Posts	Posted 08/07/2023 11:37 am For you Henning nickel aficionados I came across a post on a metal detecting forum where the poster is showing images of a 1945 with no P over the dome. Quote: ... "Well, this one is a 1945 with no mint mark above the dome, which also has the same worn look as all of Henning's other nickels. And though there are no other markers I can find, no "EN" mark or looped R in PLURIBUS or reverse die break, it does have a small dot above the dome at about 1 o'clock (dots being indicative of counterfeit coins) and weighs in at just 4.83 grams."... There is an obverse image of a 1945 nickel and a war-nickel looking reverse image with no P over the dome.
