Hello all, I welcome all input. Is this a strike thru of wire/foreign object, or just PMD? Thanks in advance. Sorry, will add more pics after I get the trial going for pixlr.

The heaped up metal along the edges of the trough indicate that they are all scratches.

These all have a reflective 'wave' of metal to the outside of each line, almost like a razor edge. A strike through would be a incuse line with nothing forced above the surrounding area. I would also expect a Struck Through Wire coin to have a consistent width to the marks.

Maybe someone didn't flatten the staples on a 2X2 that came in contact with this coin the damage was the result.

Here's an image of a 1967 SMS Quarter that has a small 'Struck Through Wire' error on the bridge of Washington's nose. Note that the width of the anomaly is consistent and has no displaced metal along its edges.

Yes that quarter is damaged rather than being struck through wire. Almost looks like a ballpoint pen and a firm hand, but it is impossible to know for sure what caused the damage.

It sure looks like PSD for the reasons others have stated.

What is the raised line to the right of the L (LIBERTY)?
Maybe just a die scratch?

I agree, just scratches on your coin. PMD.
