Doesn't look like the stamps did any better. And that woman constantly chattering, jeez he must have been driven nuts by her!
"Put on your mask" "Pull up your shirt. PULL UP YOUR SHIRT!" "Watch your glasses."

Crazy to think how many valuables were destroyed in those buildings amongst the ultimate value of human life .

Wow, that box is/was roached. Didn't see many actual coins in there...maybe 25? A lot of the contents appeared to be ashes from a coin album.

That lady needs to take a class on how to hold a camera steady.

that is amazing that they melted together. I dont know the full details on where these coins are going/what they did with them, but would you guys place value on these? surely great historical value, but if they were put up for auction do you think they'd command high prices?

Next week you'll see ads for "Rare Coin From Ground Zero!"

And why wouldn't they? At the least there is bullion value. There is probably sentimental value, they could have been passed down through family etc.

I know if I were in the same position I would want to recover what I could. If they were the coins my father or grandfather gave me I would take them and retain them even if they were a molten blob. Otherwise I would sell the remains for what I could.

As for the woman talking, she appears to be the voice of reason. My wife does the same thing and, while I might not appreciate it immediately I realize she is right 99% of the time and I do what I am told 100% of the time. Gotta play the odds.
