Good afternoon. I came across this Jefferson nickel in my change and to the naked eye I saw what appeared to be an "S" mint mark next to the "D" mint mark. So I magnified it and this is what I saw. There appears to be another S under the S that is visible to the right of the D mint markwhich is making that S appear to be larger. Underneath the D mint mark I am seeing an S well Here are a few images of maybe you guys can and like me on what this maybe....

It can't be a D over S. The 'S' mintmark was not even being used that year. The last use on the Wheat cent was 1955. The First time used was 1968 on Business and proof strikes that year.

I am sorry that the picture is not perfect enough for you but that's the best I can do sorry maybe somebody else can see it though there is a loop right below the D mint mark from the s that is underlying and an S to the right of the D mint mark...

Still can't see anything. Why do you think it's a D/S?
