Hi All!

The other day I found this 1959 LMC and was wondering what you guys might grade it at and if it is worth it to send it in.

I am new to this so if my pictures aren't good enough let me know what I need to fix and I will do it.

The Penny is really shiny looks brand new I was surprised to find it in a coin roll!

I am looking forward to seeing what you all think.

There are those who will say AU because it was found "in the wild", but I believe this is a mint state coin that you found shortly after it was (accidentally?) spent. I'd say 63 or 64.

MS62RD, as to frog's point about those saying it would be AU that humors me a bit. I found a now top pop coin (MS65RD) in the wild, would that make it AU? That thought process doesn't make sense.

Agree with Coinfrogs statement MS vs AU, coins rim looks good and no major dings on obverse devices, reverse steps struck up nicely some "bag marks" MS 62/63 . Early/mid die state, keeper in my book..nice find
Rest in Peace

Vivian410 , I am one of those guys they are talking about . But guess what ? I think you found a very nice red and brown MS-63 . If it wasn't for the tiny hits at the bottom of Lincoln Memorial I would have bumped it up to a 64 .

It's doesn't matter where it came from. Wear is ALL that matters in deciding between AU and MS. The coin would have to be 67 or higher to be submitting to a TPG.

MS-63, pretty typical example.

Wow! Thank you everyone! I am glad to see that my own assessment wasn't too far off! I thought it was pretty cool to find in a coin roll. Thanks for all of your replies!
