I bought this about 2 months ago for $2 as a 5% off center strike. It wasn't till' I pulled it out I realized it was a (mostly) centered broadstrike!

@GC, ok nice--my first thought was that it had been an Encased Cent.

Neat cherrypick! I would have thought Encased Coin as well.

It looks like you have a former Encased Cent. Notice how the top of the last T of Trust and the M of Unum is almost cut off by the anomaly. On a centered broadstrike there would be no cutoff at this point. Here is one that I have that shows a centered broadstrike. The tops of the letters should not be cut off.

Hmm... stoneman I respectfully disagree. I attached pics of those areas. Looks like damage IMO.

Definitely a damaged coin. Not a Broadstrike. At least you only paid 2 dollars for it. Unfortunately, not a cherrypick.

How does it compare to standard diameter?

Let me find out when I get home from clubs after school today. Not that I don't believe yall, but humans will be human. I've owned Encased Cents before and unlike those that second rim isn't really "raised"

It will be normal sized. When the coins are added to the holder by pressing them into the holder, it moves the metal to fit into the holder. PSD. If you have a coin in a holder, leave them there. When removed, all you have is a damaged coin.
