The series 1966 & 1966A $100's have a cool look, and not many were printed. If you use an inflation calculator, it shows $100 back in 1967 having the equivalent spending value of over $750 in today's world. Three guesses why I bought this.... Wish this was on the 12th District.

Quote: Among my favorite small notes are the red seal hundreds of the 1966 series. The first here I would grade 65/66PQ while the 1966A is a single fold AU. Lovely examples!

Steve, It's the Prefix-Suffix combo. I figured you are LED Zeppelin member.

Wow - nice group! How about a shot of the reverse of the 1922 GS?

Only seven districts issued FRBN hundreds, and the print run of 144K for the Minneapolis note was comparatively low. This has great original paper, deep embossing and an outside shot at 65 centering.

Mr. Frog, do you know when the 1929 Minneapolis notes were released?

According to Peter Huntoon et al, none were issued during the '30s - all were on hand for the 1942 WWII release. Stocks of hundreds on hand in 1942 exceeded 80% of the original run for all districts except Dallas, at 33% - which, with an original issue of just 36K, is understandably a very tough note in high grades today.
