spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 05/01/2019 03:01 am Based on the second pic only, it appears to be damage. I see raised metal around the crater that shouldn't be there if struck through. I can't explain the lack of consequence on the obverse, but I do see an effect on the rim that crosses from side to side. North of the crater on the reverse is a weak rim that seems to correspond with a rim weakness below LIBERTY on the obverse. That may point to a defective planchet, though, so I'm currently stumped. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/01/2019 12:58 pm Here is an overlay to see where it would impact the obverse side. Looks like it would be above the 'IB' on Liberty area if affected. If not affected on that area, then it would have to be a struck through error through debris.
