Looks totally fake to me. I like this one "I have had it looked at by a local coin collector and they did confirm it was authentic." That really gives me confidence. His 1916-D mercury looks fake as well. There's a reason these fakes are trying to be sold raw.

In the description he says he's a skeptic and is going to have it graded. But then lists it in an ebay auction.

Yeah, I think we have a counterfeit 1792 Half Disme.

Yes, because every very rare coin spontaneously grew a plastic slab around it as soon as the TPG's started up.

The coin is a fake though, appears to be too thick, plain edged, and has been struck in a close collar.

Picture suggests that it is a 'raw' coin.
And I mean really raw!
Picture needs a lot more 'cooking', to make it appear less 'raw'! Real cookies would taste better
