What I believe I know so far:

1859 Victoria large cent. Wide 9 over 8. I1 obverse.

The Haxby website says, "One of three known "Bridge Dies" which struck both 1859/8 and Narrow 9 cents."

But there is no info (that I can find) on that site regarding the non-narrow (fat?) 9 variety reverse marriage.

Anyone that can steer me in the right direction?

I don't know of any website that will answer your question, but Rob Turner wrote the book on wide 9/8 1859's. You can get the book at his website:

He or someone else on the forum familiar with the W9/8's will probably tell you the die pair on your coin.

Are there any die cracks on the reverse?

OI1/RD2, which comprised about 4% of the 1859 W9/8 mintage.

Well, you heard it from the author's mouth and a nice scarcer 9/8.

Fantastic, thanks for the response.

Going to have to budget out for that beautiful looking book.

I do not see any obvious die cracks on the reverse.

Here's a pic of a possible faint crack coming off the dentil between leaves 4 and 5.

Also a pic of a possible die chip above leaf 16.
