Top of head seems to be doubled, near the back of the head the small line is raised at outer edge. Not sure if it's just my eyes or is the ponytail farther away? That's all I notice...I cant even guess what I'm looking at. Hope it's not PMD.

Damage from coin counting/wrapping machine. Might be from a gumball type machine also.

I agree that this looks more like damage than MD

Agree. Damage from a wrapping machine or something like that. You can see the circle in the first picture runs off the top of the "1", in front of Washington nose, behind his head . Maybe from a wtapping machine roll end crimper.

No, there's no Doubled Die, just a normal coin. It's worth face value.

Sorry I should have elaborated. On coins that do have DD is it only ever on the letters/year?

@trl, sorry but I'm not 100% sure that I understand your follow up question. With a doubled die, the inscriptions and main design elements can be doubled. Several of our members have addressed doubling in stand alone posts (see for example, the links in the signature sction for @coop or @e&v).

Also, there is a wealth of information on the error-ref.com website.
