Hi all, I have this coin which I beleive to be Chinese and have not been able to find a similar match in searching online.
I acquired this coin with a Sun Yat-Sen Junk coin which I was able to identify as fake.
Because of this I am presuming this one may also be fake but am curious for identification and verification.
Thanking you in advance,Ceanag.

My language skills are Japanese, not Chinese, but I did a search using the Chinese characters and found this. It looks like it's dated 1890.

I hope that this helps.

A little late to reply but it looks like an imitation of a Shansi Tael, 1890, Kann #922
Legends denote: Made (in the) Shansi Arsenal (in) the 16th year of Kuang Hsu.
Generally current for payment of taxes and duties.

Thankyou for your responses. I will presume it is a fake coin and dispose of it as such.

Whether it may be Shansi or Shantung Arsenal (reference images are not so clear in the books) you can be certain it is not genuine.
Apart from extreme rarity, it may not be the right size or weight and probably not good silver.
