Yes, that's a Small Date. Other than that, is there any other questions specifically about it?

1982 was a transitional year from copper to copper plated zinc core cents...Having 7 known varieties between the Denver and Philly mints...3.1g = copper...2.5g = zinc...Now if you find a 3.1g Small date Denver $$$$

WADR, you may want to practice your pic taking skills a bit. The better the pic you post, the better we can help you.

As I posted before, I own a cheap USB microscope and I requested some help in choosing a good one.
I ordered 2 from Amazon, but were returned because they were not better than this cheaper one.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a point-n-shoot digital camera? I try and use mine whenever possible because it is a lot easier to use.

No I dont
Majority of these USB cameras are reflective causing metal to reflect back in to the visual.

Are the leds in the scope dimmable or can you shut them off completely? Your image isn't bad other than being slightly out of focus, but it is over lit by the lighting. If you can dim them try turning them down some. If they are just on/off try turning them off and using other lighting. If they can't be turned off try making a translucent disk with a hole in the center that you can put over the leds. The hole will let the lens see the coin while the translucent disk acts as a diffuser to reduce the glare.

To Conder 101
Your suggestion with the disk is awesome, we are trying to make one as we speak.
Will post an image this evening as an update.
Thanks again.
