Pretty nice coin with no other damage for this to be PMD so thinking it's a struck through. Mercs aren't my specialty so hoping someone with more experience with them can verify. Thanks.

Isn't that an indentation running vertically through the head?
Rest in Peace

Yes, indentation running vertically through the head, plus what looks like a bit of loss of detail in places. Unusual looking for a grease-filled die to me, but I do not work with Mercury dimes and so don't know what is the normal look for a Grease Filled Die on one. But it all looks struck through to me, although exactly what or how I do not know. I find worn out die to be less likely.

I'd almost think it is PMD.
