Not an error, it can't happen at the U.S. Mint. It's not possible. That's called a counterstamp.

Yes, I know it is a counterstamp. Still neat, and the second one I find this week.

Looks like it was glued on the reverse somewhere along the line.

Quin: I have a couple with that SAME stamp Different Year's. Also if you come across some with a map Stamped on It,There was a SET of all the states stamped on Lincoln Cent and sold. Cool to have but face value not a error coin or very collectable. It's a lil interesting Someone stamp mine is 1977 yours 1982. 5 years later the person was still stamping coins'

Daves Errors, although they bring no premium they are neat to find. I'll trade ya, 77 is my birth year :)! Interesting indeed a 5 year span between stamps!

Wow... I didn't even know this was a thing! I have never come across anything like that. It is funny though especially that one with him smoking a pipe!

Different stamp. The OP stamp has 4+ hairs coming up from the part, yours only has 2. Same general design but a different punch. You can actually collect these by the different punch designs of Kennedy's bust.
