I'm currently reading a very interesting book on the history of the 1933 Double Eagle. I'm only half-way through. It is a very interesting story and in addition it has some good general history on coins and coin collecting. I'm really enjoying it.

Great Book! But then again I like pretty much all books on coins.

I thought David Tripp's book "Illegal Tender: Gold, Greed, and the Mystery of the Lost 1933 Double Eagle" was better researched and covered the story more in-depth.

I think Alison's book was written with more drama and read better as a story, it was hard to put down and easy to finish.
