'A spelling error has been revealed on Australia's new $50 note - but only after 46 million of them were printed. Much to the embarrassment of the Reserve Bank of Australia, the word 'responsibility' has been printed with a missing 'i'.'https://finance.nine.com.au/2019/05...sibility-rba

It would only be "worth colelcting" if they made the switch either just before or just after a signature change, so that either the "with spelling error" or the "without spelling error" variety was the much scarcer of the two.
A "complete set of $50 notes" collector would want to collect both varieties anyway, no matter how rare they were.

Quote: Ouch, I wonder if anyone will get the can for that Probably not. These days there is very little emphasis on correct spelling. I know a Deputy Principal of a Primary school and I swear I could spell better at age 10 than she can now. In fact she often gets they're, their, and there wrong, so really what chance have the kids got?

Sadly, the same thing with some of the younger teachers at the high school where one of my grandsons goes. When the " their and there " correct terminology use was pointed out to one of them, she wasn't sure whether she should turn " pail " or " pale ".
There wasn't any point in telling her that her spelling was pour, pore or poor - she might have got... saw

A new Australian £50 note has been printed with a massive blunder on it. The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) spelled "responsibility" as "responsibilty" on millions of the new yellow notes. The RBA confirmed the typo on Thursday and said the error would be fixed in future print runs. But for now, around 46 million of the new notes are in use across the country. It's not the first time this sort of thing has happened. Here are some of the biggest spelling mistakes of all time. References : https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-48210733
