all joking aside, whats it actually been cleaned with? Cause it hasnt been polished I dont think since that would leave marks. Would it be like vineger (acetic acid) or carbonic acid (cola) or some harsher chemicals. Last time I ask the seller what they clean there coins with (same bright shiny look, they replied with "in a rock tumbler" . Note this is a different seller. Edited by ryurazu 12/30/2018 6:49 pm

It does seem unnaturally bright and fresh. Dipped, perhaps?

I'd say "some harsher chemicals" - vinegar is pretty slow acting and I've never seen it produce that finish (full disclosure - I use vinegar to tidy up verdigris-infected junk).

Agree with above and the coin looked uncirculated anyway - complete waste of time and a fine coin to whoever did it.

Should have mint lustre at this level of minimal wear. None observable. Cleaned with Basso or similar, using a soft polishing cloth. That is why there are no fine scratch marks. That is why there is no mint lustre.
