If you like it then by all means keep it

but, there's nothing that special about the serial number. It's not a repeater or a radar serial number.

If it had a couple more 0 in front of the nine and less numbers behind the nine then it would be a keeper lol

And if the $20 said $1,000 and there was a star at the end of the serial number then you would really have something!

Popejpoy - It just doesn't meet the usual definitions of a "fancy" serial number - a ladder, repeater, radar, very low, etc. This only has 4 different digits, but these are not arranged in a way that the market puts a premium on. There is no pattern.

Will loose value over the long term, with inflation.
Nowhere near fancy enough.

Not a keeper for all those reasons listed above... plus it's in bad shape. Vertical crease and bent corners just on the piece we can see.

Keep hunting!

What about it makes you think it should be a keeper ?

Let's go through a short checklist;

Is it a low serial number ? No
Is it a fancy serial number ? No
Is it in uncirculated condition ? No

I often suggest to keep whatever you like, but your note has zero factors putting it in a collectors crosshairs, sorry.

Some more factors:
Is it an error note: No.
Is it a low distribution: No.
(related) Is there any value above face: No.

Welcome to CCF popejoy42.

I hope you understand we are not intentionally trying to harsh your vibe, but when any member with over 35,000 posts suggests your note is not a keeper, you'd best believe him.

On a personal note, was popejoy1 through popejoy41 already taken, or is 42 a Lucky or significant number to you ?
