Not a keeper. Could be holes punched into the surface of the coin? Looks like hard water scale? Just a spender. This could not have happened at the mint.

To CCF! Your coin shows severe Environmental Damage from Post Strike Damage ( PSD). A junk coin now. Spendable.

Thanks all for the welcome. Glad to be here. Also thank you for your input on the coin. I'm really just starting my collecting of coins but I have always had a fascination with coin errors. Must stem from my youth collecting ball cards. I look forward to learning more from everyone.
