Hi guys, wish everyone is doing grade and thanks in advance for grading!

Recently acquired 50C King George! I appreciate adding this to my collection and looking for a grade. I'm thinking AU50-AU55. Is it foolish to think higher?

First impression is XF-45 sharpness, but luster seems abundant and natural, so I'll go AU-50.

"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Australian coins of George V used the same McKennal effigy.

Only six pearls visible on the band of the crown, wear on the high points of the beard, results in:
true VF grade.

Translation to Sheldon:- AU50,
Wear on the high points of the leaves on the reverse would support AU50 grade.

Au55 nice eye appeal and much lister remains. Pearl could be a result of the metal not pucking up into the devices, looks pretty sharp

Thank you guys. I am not sure about the dipping of this coin but it has had a very light cleaning long time ago. Looks pretty and not much damage was done.

very nice coin, I am au 50-ish, may hit a 58, on a good day. and the coin has been dipped at some point, long ago, there is too many dark deposits on some of the high points. A cleaning would have removed those spots, where a dip would not have..
