Iturbide 8 reales that appear on
ebay are often Numismatic Forgeries regardless of what the seller says. Here are two recent examples of the situation:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mexico-182...183790537584
This coin is presented as an original even though it is a recently made numismatic forgery. The price $250 would be a great bargain if the coin was genuine.
Here is another one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coin-8-Rea...254210927530
In this case the coin is referred to as "not new" and the date of manufacture is given as 1822. Neither statement is factual - the coin is still in production and the price of $38 while still a rip-off is far better. In my view $5 is too much to pay for such a poor modern copy.
To eliminate any doubt here is a third example from
ebay a genuine coin encapsulated by NGC:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1822-Mo-NG...392276751039
Here the price is a far more realistic $1,100.
