I was wanting to get a professional opinion on my 1972s small date on double die on the obverse and/reverse or if it's just Machine Doubling.

Hess4 to CCF,with the photos supplied I'm not seeing any doubling of any kind on either side of your cent. Safe to spend or if you are hoarding copper, than keep it...good luck.

No small dates on 1972 cents. 1970-S, 1974 and 1960 do have small and large dates. But all are normal size on the 1972 cents.
