photos of the entire coin on both sides would be needed

But by my thoughts it looks to be where contact of some sort was made causing it to flatten and smear in the nose area, but let's wait to see what the experts say about it.

with Bamaboycoin entire picture of coin would be needed,looks like some kind of a hit that broke his nose requiring a Band-Aid..

With the big gouge infront of him in the field..I'd say PMD..took a massive hit...Only cost a penny to keep and around 5 cents if you want to label and put it in a 2x2..I have a few that are nothing special..but special to me..heck I also have an ugly cent folder,that I keep the worst cents I find...

Looks like a lamination issue that is folding over the nose. That is what I'm seeing.
