This came in a foreign wholesale lot a bought a few months ago. I didn't think much of it at first since its a very common date, but since it appeared uncirculated I put it in a flip. On looking at it again I noticed it was practically mark free! What do you think this one will grade at, I'm planning on sending it out for grading.

Note that there is what seems to be a minor die crack right above the blacksmith's head on the reverse

Over the years, I have seen quite a few of these in dealers' low price scratch boxes, in quite high condition, with strong luster.
This one a bit better condition than the average of those that I have seen. It should be better protected, due to the nice condition.

That's a proud loooking coin. The blacksmith is an allegory of the hard work of Native Phillipinos,

rebuilding their future. It's a shame that so many pieces, ended up in Manilla bay.

BTW, I wou;ldn't send it in. Even one in 66, sells for way less than 100.

The examples of 66's on PCGS's website have significantly more contact marks than this example. I'm sending it in and hoping to get a 67, if it comes back at 66 I should break even.

Here is a picture of a 1944 S graded at 67 by PCGS for reference, there are no 1945 S examples at 67 yet graded by NGC or PCGS.

If the coin in the link was a diamond, it would be graded 'VVS1'. (=MS67) - there is a small nick above the smoke plume from the volcano.
OP's coin even better! = flawless !
