IMHO this coin is better than a typical MS65 of the Oregon Trail series.
I would have guessed MS66 at a minimum. Regardless - it's a lovely example of this very popular classic silver commemorative.

Ages ago I learned that this coin is often depicted with the Native American on the OBVERSE and the wagon on the REVERSE. Using the rule that the side with the date is the obverse, this would be incorrect. . My Red Book lists the photos as such. Was I misinformed? NICE coin. |
