Can anyone give me some input in reference to these coins having missing clad layers or just some kind of damage?

Note how the silver is showing through the residue on the coin. It is a normal coin. Spendable

On a missing cladding the color is a lot darker.

And the tops of the devices won't show silver on these. Also note because of the missing cladding, the strike is weaker on both sides of the coin.

While I agree with the others that these are examples of environmental toning or chemical exposure, you should be able to confirm for yourself by checking the weight. Of course, we are always here to help you confirm your suspicions!
