When I got a complete box of 2019 American Memorial NP quarters, I saw so many of that extra step that I brushed it off. I didn't really take the time to eye ball it.
I wished I would have given it a good going over before putting those coins in the return pile; I was distracted with all the West Point quarters I was finding.

If they look like a DDR, send it out... just saying.

OBW rolls usually have multiples of the same die. There's a good chance that even though you probably saw a few hundred of them, there may have only been a few dies there. When it comes to OBW, rarity doesn't determine variety.

Since that area of the steps seems to be the exact center, other DDRs for this design will look similar. I wouldn't be surprised if there were multiple dies with similar but inexact doubling.

Looked over this one, no damage and nothing indicates MD. Very likely a weak extra hubbing of the steps. I listed it as CRDR-001.
