Is This 50c A Error? Or Someone Just Made It?

Wouldnt be a copper coin and zinc coated would it ? Or has something happened to it somewhere weather somehow with a natural reaction or by man? Report this Post to the Staff

I remember finding a late George VI English florin (same metallic composition as an Australian 50c) on a beach with my metal detector and it was dark brown all over. After a scrub with a wire brush to get it 'spendable' it looked rather like your 50c - and the edge remained dark brown.
