A Different 1882 S VAM D Date ? - Coin Community Forum

If you edit and add a description of what you are seeing under each picture, we might be able to identify. So far all I can tell is, this may be a closed 2 varity with S mintmark tilted left. Vam1 eliminated, only 28 more to choose from. We're getting close. Report this Post to the Staff

I struck me as possibly VAM 6 which has a S/S repunch, but may just be the light and focus. Can't see any doubling on 1, if there is tell me where. Mintmark may be decisive. Pictures of mintmark still not clear enough to say yay or nay on doubling. Definately a C3b reverse.
