Is it worth getting graded?

No. Looked at ebay just now. An MS-65 (PCGS)
example is being offered for $24.64.
That is the cost in grading fees and postage.
Not a great deal.

Is it worth saving?

Certainly. You can't buy anything for a nickel today.

Condition?

Need better photos, but I detect a bit of mint luster remaining.. That makes it in the XF territory.

When the silver coins were replaced in 1965 many people saved 1964 and earlier Jefferson nickels mistakenly thinking that they were also silver. This helps explain the rarity of a nickel older that 1965 showing up in circulation.

To me, given the discoloration, this is a spender.

to the CCF.

This is a common date/mm Jefferson nickel in discolored, circulated condition.

Numismatic value is 5 cents. Nice find in a change jar ... but absolutely not worth above face value.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art
