Spooned coin. PSD, not an error coin. Safe to spend.

Within mint tolerance. What does the edge look like?

In the newer washing machines the is a small gap between the agitator and the tub itself. A couple of weeks ago I had two copper cents get stuck between that gap and they both rolled inside that gap and completely flattened the rims and made them look like a proof cent planchet. It appears your cent may have seen the fate as the two that I had.

How does the edge remain perfectly flat on the rim and the edge ? Shouldn't it be rounded slightly on the corner, also the rim on the coin look rather wide. It appears to me that the coin was flattened on the edge, then flattened on the obverse and reverse after the fact. Look at Lincoln's profile, it looks rather worn by abrasives in the higher areas.

On the two that I had, the gap was just wide enough that the cent would roll and I believe because it was just wide enough to fit, and the rim rubbed as well, flattening it out too.

Mikey89, you're trying to post on a thread nearly two years old. Please start a new topic and photo of your coin in a thread of it's own. You'll get more replies that why.
