1941 S Nickel Found In Purple - Coin Community Forum

1GuamBum Valued Member United States 52 Posts	Posted 06/01/2019 3:51 pm Hi to Everyone, I have come across a number of coins, from Pennies, Nickels, Dimes and Quarters, that seem to be coated in a Dark Purple color (see attached). What is the reason for this? Does this degrade the value of the coin (this being a 1941 S Nickel)? Thanks in advance for your feedback. Report this Post to the Staff
