This is not your normal misaligned / shifted black overprint error one would expect to find on a $1 Federal Reserve Note.
When I posted this on my facebook wall, Fred Bart replied;

Discovery of the decade!
I have never seen this combination and, admittedly,
until now hadn't remotely considered the possibility.
Excerpts from "US Error Note Encyclopedia (2nd Edition)" by Stephen M. Sullivan on Page 79 (Misaligned Black Portion of Overprint) on $1 FRN's and Page 81 (1 Color in Overprint Misaligned on Silver Certificate) is included and notes a 4th printing operation for printing signatures.
This seems to have a combination of both, on the Federal Reserve Note the Date & Signatures are part of the 2nd printing, on Silver Certificates, the date and signatures required a 4th printing operation.
This is also a Mule back plate #445 originally used on the series 1957B Silver Certificates.
This note was in my "Watch" folder while deciding if I should purchase it or not since the BIN price was over double that for a normal shifted black overprint error.
The seller didn't describe the note as it is (I don't think they knew what it was either), and their bottom price was still double that of a normal error when I decided to go for it.
After receiving this, I went back on
ebay and picked up some series 1957B Silver Certificates with the same back plate numbers to include with the better series 1963 Mules.
With Bart's comment, I'm now happy I went for it and can't complain about the price paid.
