Do you think this will straight grade with NGC? VF35 or XF? Thanks.

XF 40'ish.
Whatever you do, do not ever remove that coin from it's GSA packaging!

I'd say 30, although the plastic is tough to see through.
I would NOT waste the money on grading this.

Why on earth would you want to spend more than the coin is worth having it graded?

This is one of those coins where the GSA holder and GSA pedigree is worth way more than the coin.
It just works that way sometimes.

A bullion/melt value 1922-S is worth THAT much more in a GSA annotated TPG holder? Really? (Clueless)

I'm skeptical about a low grade relatively common Peace dollar getting much more than a raw one due to a GSA holder, at least I wouldn't pay any more for it, but perhaps there are people who will. Why? I have no idea, especially since it would not be hard to open and reseal them.

I have no idea, either, if this discrepancy is indeed true. If it is, and it sounds plausible, then it is madness. True madness.

Just doing some quick looking on ebay, there is a 1924 NGC AG3 for $325 listed. Who knows if it's going to sell but maybe there is a market for these?

The coin itself, if removed from the GSA holder, becomes just another common circulated Peace dollar worth 15$. As long as it stays in the GSA holder it has provinence back to the GSA sales of the 1970's. There is a niche market for this kinda stuff. It will bring a big premium to collectors of this stuff. I know it's stupid but it just works that way.
