It looks different than all my other 82's every last one of them have the chubby 2 except this one I don't own a coin scale please and thank you

Weight is the only way to tell I think bronze is what you want over 3 grams zinc is not 2.5

Any digital scale that has grams can let you know if your in the ball park or not.

Make a scale. It is simple. Take any popsicle or icecream stick and a pencil. balance the stick on the pencil. Lay a pre 1982 cent on one end of the stick and your coin on the other end. If they balance, yours is Copper. All cents made prior to 82 were Copper. If your pencil is multi sided it is easier to balance the stick.

Yes,please crop and rotate photos properly before posting. Use the preview to fix any problems before final post.
I see no reason to make a popsicle stick scale when you can buy a decent digital scale for less than 10 bucks.

Should be grams to at least one decimal point. If it is just even grams, both a copper or a zinc will show as 3 grams.

Yup, clearly zinc from the photos. Also the ring test is fast and reliable once you develop your ear for it.

The surfaces show a LOT of plating bubbles so it is zinc.
