I'm New And Coin Illiterate And I Need Help With A Jefferson Nickel

RealEyesRealize New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 06/05/2019 04:35 am I found a Jefferson nickel while cleaning my house. I'm new to this and I know nothing about this coin I actually came here in hopes of finding out more about it. If anyone reads this and can tell me something PLEASE do. It's got patches of copper on both sides it's about 50% copper colored and 50% the regular nickel color. I think it's a 1979 but I can't really tell because half the numbers and a few letters r missing. and it has a " Cud" at the top of Jefferson's head (I think that's the right term) and it's got one or two indented "pockets" that look like maybe there was a air bubble in the metal when it was struck? It also has what looks like a crack at the top of the memorial building on the back. I dunno. It has multiple different errors. hELP! Is it anything special and how do I find out what it's worth Report this Post to the Staff
