I just made an offer on this and was countered by a better offer. Made a down Payment to lock it in. Here's the 3rd coin to my 1905 proof set and now 2nd barber proof quarter. Here's the seller's photos. will up the closeups later when I get some toning pics.

I know that is graded at PR66 and I know it has a CAC sticker, but I personally don't care for its eye appeal.

Here's the one that I own. It's "only" a PR64, but I think the eye appeal is much better:

That's nice too. It's actually very nice...but when you're doing a toned proof set like I'm doing, then that would be the red headed step-child in the photo. lol albeit mine is literally the redhead.

I assume he knows Greasy Fingers. However, to each their own. I may need a toning intervention too, but I'm not there yet. 2 toned barber proofs and counting!

Ah. Obviously, I had no idea that you were specifically collecting toned coins!

In that case, here's some other proofs in my collection you might enjoy:

Doctor Burnzy I'm usually not a fan of toned coins but that molten rust color is really nice .

Beautiful coins in this thread, had to take a second look.
DrB, I'll bet that Barber is gorgeous in hand. Cameo contrast, deep mirrors and nicely toned....oh yeah.

What would life be like if there had been no collectors back in the day to provide a market for these proofs?
