Hi all,
I am new here and I would like to share these dollar coins with you.
A friend from work has offered them to me but I woud like to know how much they are worth and if they are genuine.
The 1872 one does not have the motto, this looks suspicious to me.
Thanks for your help.

Pictures are too small and blurry to tell. But the story is typical of someone selling fakes.

Find a local coin store and someone knowledgable about US coins. Tell your friend you'd like to go down to a coin store with him just to get an idea of the grade and worth...Many shops will do that for free especially if they are not too busy..see if he says yes or not. If he says sure why not you can find out together. If he doesn't want to go....well then...He ain't your friend and you'll know they're fake. It's a 2 for 1 deal. You get to find out if he's your friend and you get to find out if they are real or not....winner winner chicken dinner....BTW welcome to CCF.
