I found this 1964 P LMC a few days ago and it looked a little thick at first glance and without really looking at it set it aside. Decided tonight to go through this thing with a better look at the devises. It is the 1964 P LMC DDO-014. You can see the date matches perfectly with the one listed on VV. I also believe this is the stage A as the cent on VV's site shows the very start of DD as you can see in the letter I in LIBERTY. On my cent there shows no signs of DD in the letter I in LIBERTY or on any of the devises.

Looks stronger than 014. I didn't see a listing for this one. It is a nice one. I like the spread on the '9' on the date.

I really think it's the stage A of the 14 but Mr. Coop you've just convinced me to send it to Dr. Wiles. And Thank you both!

Thanks Grapes. What would be cool is if this were a new discovery 55 years in the making!

The results are back from Dr. Wiles, DDO-014 Stage B. I don't think I necessarily agree with the Stage B attribution and here's why, on VV's site the stage B shows the start of die wear visible on the letter I and the number 4 with both devises showing movement towards the rim. There is no signs of die wear showing on my cent. It is what it is I guess and still glad to have this stellar example.

I feel his is Stage 'C' rather than Stage 'B'. Your coin is a fresher die state as it show die vertical die scratches and doesn't show the LDS die flow lines on the fields near the rim. So I feel his is a LDS example and yours is a MDS example. But what do I know?

Mr. Coop, I think you have a valid point.
