Someone please tell me something about these coins?
The 1987 looks like to have cloth patterns on the reverse?
The 1959 looks neat. Thanks.

The 1987 Washington quarter is just heavily banged up and damaged after it left the U.S. Mint. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD), not an error coin. Worth 25 cents now, because it's a cull coin.

The reverse of the quarter looks like it was hit on to with a metal file. Turned and hit again. PSD on quarter. Nickel? Nothing stands out other than it is not damaged. Kind of like comparing a nice car with one compared in a wrecked car in a junk yard.
Rest in Peace
