I found this dime today in my pocket change. It appears to be an error, but I'm not sure. Maybe a light die strike? The dime itself also appears to be thinner compared to other dimes. Can anyone give me some insight on this? I tried to get clearer images, but my cameral would not cooperate. Thanks

Unfortunately all you have is a dime that was damaged after it left the mint. Things like this happen all the time when people have spare time with a hammer/vice/pliers/etc.

Thanks for the replies. I know absolutely nothing about coins. What is the signs that it is damage instead of error? I did notice the scratches and first thought someone took a grinder to it, but since the silver color wasn't worn through, I didn't know?
